9.12.2021 | At its meeting on Thursday 9 December, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs outlined Finland’s positions for next week’s European Council, Euro Summit and Eastern Partnership Summit.

22.11.2022 | According to a comprehensive report on exports to China, Finnish companies’ business activities in China have had a positive impact on the parent companies’ activities in Finland. However, Finland has lost its market share of the value added consumed by China, and the focus of goods exports has shifted from machinery and equipment to raw materials and intermediate products. The outlook for exports is overshadowed by geopolitical risks, protectionism and a slowdown in China’s economic growth.

16.2.2022 | Finland’s diplomatic missions abroad and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Helsinki were commended by companies for their Team Finland export promotion services. This is revealed in a survey, in which companies assessed the usefulness of Team Finland services and access to and availability of support.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread, and we do not yet have adequate measures available to replace the restrictions. For this reason, and to curb the spread of COVID-19 variants, both internal border controls and restrictions on external border traffic will continue. Some amendments will be made to the decisions adopted on 20 May. These will enter into force on 7 June.
